Gosh! It's been a while .... I made the decision earlier this year that I would be taking a couple of months off this Summer as I seemed to have a lot in the 'social calendar' and knew I wouldn't be able to keep up with things on the sewing front. But it's almost time to get back to work and I can't wait!
I think my sewing machine needs dusting off, and fired up ready to make new things for the new season!
I haven't been totally idle, I have had 3 friend's weddings to go to and I made something for each of them ...

A ring pillow & garter for another friend ...
and finally this coming weekend I have my last wedding to attend this year and I've made my friends a cushion as a gift that they can pop on their bed (or wherever they like) and keep as a little wedding memento ...
So as wedding season comes to an end I'm excited to get on with some new sewing, I'm bringing back some old favourites and making some brand new items too that will hopefully become new favourites for everyone.
The website www.sarahssimplyhandmade.co.uk has been updated for now but expect lots of updates over the next few weeks ahead of a big event I'm attending in September.
