Finally I have managed to go through all my lovely 'Reset Girl' inserts, stickers and pages and have now set up my planner ready to use this week!! Hoorah! I thought I would walk you through from front to back ....
Terrified I might scratch my new planner shoving it in my bag to take to work my first job was making a little cover for it! I love this fabric from Tilda, I think it complements the ballerina planner perfectly and of course I added a little bit of bling with a large glitter fabric heart on the front! (Really should have ironed it!!)
INSIDE FRONT COVER
As soon as you open the planner it gives you lots of little spaces to start getting organised. I have room here for my business cards, one of the little 3 x 4 cards to show off my page markers, and the perfect little pocket for those gorgeous sticky tabs that I know I'll be using frequently! Some people I'm sure will use the little window pocket for photos but I've gone with one of the 3 x 4 cards 'Planner Girl' in gold foil featuring a couple of those adorable 50's ladies. The inside front cover also features a pocket, I've used it to insert one of the Reset Girl pocket dividers containing a few sticker tabs & a few more of the 3 x 4 cards so I can switch them around in the pocket window to change the look from time to time.
Planner Set Up
I've kept with the 'You Got This' gold foil acetate divider and the 50's lady divider with her arms wide open that was included in the boxed set.
CALENDAR / DIARY
I always like to start my planner with my diary, it's the thing I use most. Because I like to use just one planner for everything and for me there's never enough room I usually have the previous month, the current month and as many as I can fit in after that!
Pocket Divider for Stickers
At the start of the current month I have inserted one of the pretty pocket dividers (I chose the one with the good stuff motif) for my monthly stickers. As the pocket divider is double sided I've popped the 'Reset Girl' ones in the front and then some fab little stickers I bought from 'Happy Cutie Studio' on Etsy that are great for every day use. I don't think there's many every day chores she hasn't thought of!
October (Current Month)
Now as I've bought my planner mid-year I'm saving all the original monthly sheets to enjoy in 2017 so I have adapted and copied 'GOALS' front page for October & the Monthly log as well as the layout (below)
This is an exact replica of the printed version that was included in the boxed set that I'll be using in 2017. You can see I have decorated it with some washi tape, I've added one of the monthly calendar stickers, and some other pretty stickers (no doubt I'll add more!!) and I've used the carpe diem basic number stickers for each of the days just to keep things neat and tidy.
Week One
This is my first weekly layout - Washi Tape, Stickers, a Monthly Calendar, I've cut the 'To Do' list from the back of the planner in half to use in each week as a little checklist of chores & One of the more motivational 'Reset Girl' Dashboards always feature. I love having dashboards in my weeks especially ones with great quotes to inspire me, the one you see here is a telephone with gold foiling that says 'Opportunity is calling'. You'll spot all over my weekly layouts the little stickers for chores from Happy Cutie Studio - I find that once I get writing all over my week it helps certain things stand out as a reminder so I don't miss it!
Week Two
Again the same type of inclusions as week one, this time using the typewriter dashboard that says 'Write it' and I've popped the CREATE stickers over next Fri - Sun as that's exactly what I'll be doing making new accessories for my market night on Facebook, craft fairs, Etsy & the website of course ...
Week Three
Corals for week 3!! You'll also see a new dashboard the cute specs with 'have a vision for life' and I've added the Like A Boss stickers as that's my other weekend for creating & making!
Week Four
Don't you just love the stack of books with all the Planner & Crafts quotes?!?
Week Five
This will be my last weekend off for a while apart from the Facebook market night on Friday 28th before it's out on the road with Christmas Craft Fairs galore booked in November so I thought the use of the coffee cup dashboard here was cool and the quote is perfect!
So that's the calender layouts - I love that you can organise the month at a glance and then plough through the weeks in style adding bits along the way as needed ... The next part of my planner is divided in to sections:
Dividers - Notes & Finances
I really love the 6 pack of dividers that I showed you in 'Part Two' ... This is what I've used them for ... I always start with a notes section, I've not pictured the papers but I used the basic papers in my previous blog and I've alternated between lined & graph paper so I can do some bullet notes.
The dividers have a laminated tab to write your sections (I've not done it for all of mine yet just in case I change my mind!) The last divider shown on the right I'm going to use for finances - my personal monthly outgoings & business expenses to keep me on track.
Dividers - Sarah's Simply Handmade
Next I have a section just for Sarah's Simply Handmade, I used the sewing dividers and dashboards which are so nice, here I can make notes, plan ideas, keep lists of fairs I'm attending etc. Again I've kept a mix of lined & graph paper so I can do lots of bullet lists!
Dividers - Fun & Ideas
I've not written on the tabs for these yet but I'm definitely thinking of being lead by the dividers to keep fun stuff & list ideas / general bits etc.
Dividers - Contacts
I hate not having my contacts in my planner so I've created a section for them & have found some awesome gold glitter alphabet stickers so I can keep everyone's details in order! No more searching about when I write the Christmas cards and need to post them!
So that's it in the main, my calender and sections with some funky little bits on the inside front cover ..... or is it it?!?! Well no in fact Simple Stories have thought of everything with the Ballerina Planner & 'Reset Girl' ...
Inside Back Cover
Look! they have included the perfect spaces for two of the 'Reset Girl' Accessories - Another inside pocket that fits the brand new Doc - It Journal perfectly and a place for the To Do List note pad. They really have thought of everything a planner obsessive girl could ever need! I love the Doc-It Journal ... I'm going to use it for my thoughts, daydreams & wishlists
The Doc-It Journal
This is so good as I don't like keeping thoughts in my diary/calendar section as sometimes clients/friends see it when I'm booking appointments /dates etc. and thoughts should be private! I really like the fact that it's pages are all graphed so I can choose to write freely or create a bullet journal - it's just like a TN but with the added bonus that it perfectly matches my 'Reset Girl' theme and fits into the planner.
Pen Loop
and finally on this little walk-through of my own personal set up is the pen loop! Not just any pen loop in my case ... I found the most adorable set of pens from Kikki K as I only wanted special pens for my planner!
OH! and I've even managed to find the perfect use for the box my planner came in ...
OH! and I've even managed to find the perfect use for the box my planner came in ...
It seems it's the perfect size to keep all my extra bits & refills in together with the whole of the 'naked' 2017 diary!!
